Free travel on bus and rail!
Participating accommodation establishments offer this first-class service with the Guest Ticket.
This lets you use all local public busses and trains in the entire VRM region for free during your stay. It’s valid every day!

 

For you, this means reduced costs and a stress-free holiday!
The Guest Ticket allows free travel to around 120 excursion and hiking destinations such as the towns and cities of Koblenz, Cochem, Traben-Trarbach on the Middle Moselle, Boppard, Andernach am Rhein, Eltz Castle and numerous other hiking trails such as the ‘Traumpfade’ and ‘Moselsteig’.
You’ll save lots on travel costs and can perhaps even extend your holiday a little longer as a result.

Other benefits:You won’t have the hassle of purchasing train tickets from ticket machines or spending ages looking for parking.

When is the Guest Ticket valid?
The Guest Ticket is valid for the duration of your stay, including the day of arrival and departure.
The information provided by your host shall apply exclusively.

 

Is the Guest Ticket transferable?
Your personal Guest Ticket is non-transferable and is only valid when presented with valid photo ID.

 

Is the Guest Ticket available to purchase?
The Guest Ticket is not available to purchase. Participating establishments give overnight guests the opportunity to use the busses and trains of the
Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Mosel (VRM) free of charge and discover the diversity of the northern Rhineland-Palatinate region.

 

Can day-trippers use the Guest Ticket?
No, the Guest Ticket is reserved for overnight guests.

 

Is there anything else I should know about?
Please remember: When leaving the VRM region, you'll need to purchase a connecting ticket.

The Guest Ticket - Terms of Use for Bus & Rail

Tourist accommodation in the sunny Lower Moselle holiday region participating in the Guest Ticket offers a special service during your stay:
You'll receive a Guest Ticket from your tourist accommodation. This lets you use all local public busses and trains on the Rhein-Mosel network for free during your stay.

 

 

1. The Guest Ticket is valid exclusively on VRM public transport services (2nd class carriage on trains – not for IC or ICE trains).


2. The Guest Ticket is only valid when details are provided in full. The name and accommodation address of the guest including arrival and departure date must be provided.


3. Subsequent amendments to the Guest Ticket are not permitted. If changes to the Guest Ticket are required, a new Guest Ticket must be issued. If you stay for longer than originally intended, you will receive a new Guest Ticket.


4. The Guest Ticket is only valid in conjunction with official photo ID and is non-transferable.


5. Children aged 6 and over require their own Guest Ticket. Children under the age of 6 can travel in the VRM region free of charge and do not require a Guest Ticket.


6. The Guest Ticket is valid for passenger transport. Bicycle transport is free of charge on weekdays from 9 am and all day on Sundays and public holidays, space permitting.


7. Pets are permitted in line with the corresponding tariff regulations of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Mosel (VRM): transportation is free in closed cages, otherwise a discounted single ticket must be purchased for the corresponding travel route.
