The local community has a wonderful bank along the Moselle that invites you to stop and rest. The bordering Aspelbach valley creates a hiking paradise known as Niederfeller Switzerland. From the top, hikers can enjoy panoramic views of the Eifel mountain range, the Moselle and their side valleys. A number of well-preserved half-timbered buildings lay claim to its past as an electoral area of Trier.
