Coming from Hunsrück, Macken is the gateway to Moselle. Macken was first officially mentioned in around 1100. Peacefully located, the town combines the benefits of two cultural landscapes – Hunsrück and Moselle. Numerous hiking trails through picturesque forests and meadows make this a real nature experience for every visitor. The Brigitta chapel from 1910 is worth a visit.
