Dieblich

A wine- and fruit-growing town at the foot of the Moselle Viaduct

The wine-growing region of Dieblich was first mentioned under the name ‘Divelich’ in a document by Theoderich II., Archbishop of Trier. With its gentle, rolling hills and high plateau, it is the gateway to the holiday region when coming from Koblenz. The Moselle Viaduct measures 136 metres in height and is 935 metres long. It was Europe's highest motorway viaduct at the time of building (1969 - 1972). Walkers can enjoy the Dieblich Nature Trail, a circular route of around 3.5 km, which presents and describes various types of forest trees and shrubs along with local fruit varieties.
