You need a safe berth at night when you're on a river. It's rare to find a place to moor up, especially as a non-local. Mostly you'll just find a harbour. The following berths are available in our region:

Marina Winningen
Call port management via channel 13 to be assigned a berth. Crane, filling station, outdoor pool nearby, harbourside restaurant.

Kobern - Gondorf (Kobern district)
Good berth for the night, free, no provisions, unfortunately near the railway and wash of the waves. Rewe supermarket approx. 500 m away. Numerous rest points

Oberfell
Quay wall with plenty of steel bollards and sufficient water depth. Free, no provisions. Right next to a busy road.

Alken
Quay wall with steel bollards and sufficient water depth. Free, no provisions. Right next to a busy road. Edeka supermarket approx. 500 m away. Numerous rest points Visit Thurant Castle.
