Trips using the cycle bus

Cycle busses are available for transporting cyclists up to the Hunsrück and Eifel mountains. Various cycle bus lines offer this service from spring/summer to autumn. The busses are equipped with trailers for bikes. The cycle bus can also be used by passengers without a bike. Depending on the cycle bus line, electric bikes can also be transported; please enquire beforehand. A child trailer must be foldable and is treated as an item of luggage. Only the allocated space can be used.
Please note that capacity may vary depending on the bus. Reservations can be made at the tourist information office in Alken.

Route tips by train

The regional trains are ideal for bike trips and you'll also help to preserve nature. Get involved!
In Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland region, bikes can be transported on the DB Regio trains for free on weekdays from 9 am and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. In principle, there is no carriage dedicated to bikes. You'll always find an area at the front or back of the train where you can store and secure your bike.
